The Challenge

Facing the need to expand in support of its ongoing growth, the company needed to move into a larger office facility – transitioning from its headquarters in Dorchester, Massachusetts to the Stoughton/Avon area. Our job was to make the technology aspect of the move as smooth and seamless as possible for the firm’s nearly 70 employees.

The Results

We worked with the client to assess their network and technology platform and advised their management team to move from a physical host server environment to a Cloud-based platform to improve their cybersecurity profile and their capacity to store and backup data. The company endorsed this recommendation and our network engineers descended on its office to sunset its proprietary servers and to move all of the data and information they held into the Cloud. We then visited the firm’s new offices to assess the layout and options for building out its new IT infrastructure. This included conducting a comprehensive site evaluation and review architectural and site plans to determine how we would establish internet connectivity and arrange the company’s computing equipment.

On the day of the transition from Dorchester to the new location in Stoughton/Avon, we were on site at both the old and new locations and managed the breakdown, transfer and set up of the firm’s technology resources.

The Impact

We had the client up and running and back in business on the same day that its move took place. We also followed up with a post-move overview of what we learned and observed when we were making the move and provided the client with some additional recommendations for future technology enhancements that would support its ambitious growth goals.
