Brockton, MA, July 28, 2022 – ACS Services, Inc., one of New England’s leading Managed Services Providers (MSP – a provider of Managed-IT services), announced today that its president, William Adams, Jr., will re-join the board of the Room to Dream Foundation (https://roomtodreamfoundation.org/about/). The Newton-based charity supports children suffering from long-term, chronic illnesses by providing them with home makeover services that help their families better accommodate their unique needs while lifting their sports.
“We are delighted to have Bill back with us as a member of our board,” said Stefan Nathanson, Founder and President of the Room to Dream Foundation. “He brings a contagious passion for the work we do, which is reflected in the energy and enthusiasm he displays for our projects and for the commitment he demonstrates to the children and families we serve. Bill and ACS have been consistent supporters of Room to Dream and having him back with us in an official capacity can only make us a stronger organization.”
Adams served on the Room to Dream board for five years before stepping away in 2014 to concentrate on business and family obligations. However, he said he always hoped to re- engage with the organization once time permitted.
“I have a strong personal and emotional connection to the work Room to Dream does for sick children and their families because I have seen the difference it can make in their quality of life,” said Adams. “I am fortunate to have two healthy sons and when I look at them each day, I am reminded of the challenges others face. Rejoining the board will allow me, and the ACS team, to continue supporting Room to Dream in impactful and meaningful ways.”
According to Nathanson (who also is the founder of the Nathanson Law Group, and who serves as Senior Counsel at Ligris + Associates where he focusses in both capacities on commercial and residential real estate matters), the Room to Dream Foundation’s mission is to create healing environments in bedrooms for children and adolescents who are facing chronic illnesses. He said as they recuperate, the hope is that their renovated spaces will improve their quality of life, promote strength, imagination, self-worth, and aid in their recovery processes.
Nathanson went on to say that the foundation focuses its services on children and families in need that are referred by healthcare providers in the Greater-Boston area. In order to complete each renovation, it purchases the furnishings and supplies that will be required. Every purchase is tailored to the specific needs of the child or family that is being supported. Through a caring staff of volunteer professional contractors, interior decorators, and other volunteers, Room to Dream designs and transforms living spaces that give children and adolescents room to dream of a healthier future. Since its founding in 2006, the organization has provided its services to numerous children in the Greater Boston area.
